January Beauty Haul

As much as I'm trying to save money, I couldn't resist a few little treats for myself and they're all products that will be used up and were on offer and and and... I'm not sure who I'm trying to persuade that I need these things because obviously I don't but here's what I bought...

Superdrug Vitamin E 360 Spray- On All Over Body Lotion
I've been debating repurchasing the Vaseline Spray and Go for a while, it's so convenient (a.k.a perfect for the person that can never be bothered to moisture) and amazing for when it's cold and you just want to get dressed after a shower, but at £5.99 I think its rather overpriced compared to a lot of drugstore body care. So I was very chuffed when I discovered this Superdrug one for £2.99! Also as it is Vitamin E I'm hoping it won't irritate the pesky eczema which has made an appearance on my legs!

Superdrug Vitamin E Refreshing Toning Mist
You know when something is one Buy One Get One Half Price! and you can't resist? Well this was the result of the impulsive decision to get something on that offer. I love facial mists and my skin on my face has been incredibly sensitive, I thought this would be perfect just to spritz on when it's feeling irritated or dry. Also just another thing to add... all of Superdrug's own products are cruelty free! (Which makes me feel a little less guilty about this purchase!)

MUA Matt Black Eyeliner & MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner in Jet Black
There's not a lot a lot to say about these purchases except for I'm trying to save money and am trying to go for cheaper options at the moment! MUA has never let me down with other products so I thought I would give their eyeliners a go!

Maybelline Big Lashes & The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
Again I fell into the trap...2 for £10 on all Maybelline products! Although this was more than I was intending to spend, it works out good value for money, right?! I've had the Big Lashes mascara before and really love that this product has two applicators, one for your top lashes and one for your bottom lashes. I think The Falsies Push Up Drama must be new as I've never seen it before, I've tried the original The Falsies and liked it so I thought I would give this one a go, I'm not exactly sure what the difference is meant to be though!

Collab Dry Shampoo
This is a repurchase and I definitely prefer this dry shampoo to Batiste! It's great that it comes in a mini as well as it's easy to throw in your handbag. I've never tried this scent before but I fancied trying something different!

January/Current Favourites

Blistex Lip care solutions/ Makeup Revolution eyeshadow// Baby Lips// Barry M- Ballerina// Lush fresh face masks// Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
Yes, I know, we are nearly half way through February now but I had this post all written up then got really ill and completely forgot to edit and post it. But here it is! Due to my attempt to save money and trying to use up existing products, I don't have many favourites. However the above have been essential and highly necessary for this time of year not just January!

Lips
This weather has really not agreed with my skin, lips, health etc and one thing I can't stand is chapped flakey lips! I love all of the Blistex products and usually apply these morning and evening as they're more of a deeper treatment. During in the day, I always make sure I have my trustee Baby Lips!

Makeup
Bizarrely I haven't had many make up favourites lately, I've been trying to give my skin a break and keeping it simple. However,  my Makeup Revolution eye-shadows had a lot of loving! I have a couple of their palettes and love the wide selection of colours. At such an affordable price they're great for someone like me who isn't very skilled at using eyeshadow. Plus I find they are really long lasting which is perfect for me as I never find the time in the day to touch up my makeup!

Nails
For nails, I'm over wearing all the dark reds and wintery colours but am not ready for the pastels for spring so my nail varnish of choice has been Barry M "Ballerina". It's the perfect subtle pink but not quite a nude shade, I've recently bought "Berry ice cream" which is similar toned but purple. Although I've not wanted to transition to pastels just yet I could resist but buy some of the new Barry M quick dry polishes (post coming soon)!

Skin
My favourite thing to do in the winter evenings in to whack on a mask. I've been using the Lush fresh face masks and they have not disappointed. They leave my skin feeling squeaky clean and super soft!
Finally, my Liz Earle cleanse and polish. I purchased this near the beginning of the January. I'm not going to say much about it as I'm going to do a full review but I have been using this every day since I've got it!

January Favourites

To be honest, I haven't fell in love with many products this month but here are the few that I seemed to end up using most days of January.

 1. Vaseline: Spray & Go body moisturiser- This is absolutely perfect for when you don't have much time to properly moisturise after a shower or bath, you can quickly just spray it all over. It soaks in quickly and doesn't feel greasy at all. I'm not overly fond of the smell of this product and probably wouldn't use this product if I had more time after showers. However saying that it is a very gentle product which is good for my sensitive skin, especially after just shaving.

2. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation- There's been so much hype over this foundation, so when my skin started getting paler over winter and my Bourjous Health Mix was looking not quite right on my skin I opted to try this out, I don't regret it at all! In the past I haven't been to fond of Rimmel foundations as they never seemed to apply very evenly. However, this foundation is a lovely colour and does add a nice glow to my tired and dull skin. I definitely will be repurchasing it again.

3. Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry & Vanilla Hair Spray- For a long time I've never really used hairspray as it I've never made me hair feel crunchy and I hate the smell. However, I've heard a fair few things about how amazing this one is and it certainly lives up to expectations! I've also purchased  Iced coconut cocktail hair spray but the scent is far too summery for this time of year.

4. L'Oreal Paris #TXT (Texture styling) Volume super sizing spray- This spray has a similar effect to sea salt spray, although it doesn't leave your hair feeling crunchy or stiff. I've found myself using this a lot in January just to give my hair a bit of volume when it's straight or curly.

5. LUSH green FUN- I'm completely in love with this stuff, I received it as a Christmas present and have been using it ever since. You can use FUN on your body, hair or in a bath- I've tried it in all 3, I prefer to take a ball into the shower and use some on my body and some on my hair. It makes my hair extremely soft and smelling fresh, it's a very zingy and limey scent which is very refreshing. I definitely want to try out the other colours of FUN.

6. Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Eau de Parfum- I don't think many people will disagree with me when I say that the packaging is disgusting and tacky but I love the scent it's sweet but not too teenage girlish. I'm on the search for a permanent new scent but this is what I'll be wearing until I do. Very fruity and vanilla like scent which I think it's lovely for during in the day!

7. Maybelline The Volum' Express Mascara Falsies (Black Drama) - Whilst everyone was raving about Maybelline The Rocket mascara, I fell in love with this one, it gives my lashes the perfect length and volume. So happy with this mascara I probably won't be changing it for a while!

8. Rimmel Professional Eye Brow Pencil (Black Brown)- I never really felt the need to start filling in my brows until last year or so but this pencil is completely perfect and makes my brows filled but still looking natural, plus it's very affordable.

9. Montagne Jeunesse; Dead sea face spa- I love this brand of face masks, they're affordable and perfect for a pamper night alone or with friends. My favorite ones tend to be the sea salt ones as they leave my skin feels soft and fresh.

What products have you been loving this month?
