Firstly I must say, I've got to put my hands up and admit I have definitely fallen for the hype surrounding Makeup Revolution. I must admit I was initially a bit skeptical, however, these products have not disappointed and I can now see why everyone is becoming obsessed with this brand!
If you haven't heard about them already Makeup Revolution (see their website here) launched in March this year and so far have a growing range of 300 products including makeup, skincare and nails.
.Being a student I am always looking for more new affordable brands that still produce high quality products, well Makeup Revolution ticks both boxes! What is even more amazing about Makeup Revolution is they do a lot of dupes.  One example is the iconic palettes which are dupes for the much loved Urban Decay Naked palette!

If you are struggling to know what to get from Makeup Revolution, I'd suggest treating yourself to one of their gorgeous eyeshadow palettes, I promise you won't regret it! I've been using the Flawless palette nearly everyday since got it. The Iconic palette is equally amazing, however, the flawless palette has some incredible Autumn shades which I'm in love with! The eye shadows are extremely pigmented and beautiful, I don't usually wear eyeshadow regularly but since having these its been so easy to create some really pretty day and evening looks. One thing is they aren't as long lasting as some eye shadows, however, I don't use a primer so that's probably my own fault!

Next up is the lipsticks, at £1 you really can't deny yourself of a treat and getting one of these! They come in a wide range of colours and finishes, plus they're super pigmented and look gorgeous on.  The two boxed lipsticks are a different formula, one is one with added moisture with a tint and one is from their "I heart makeup" range. I definitely will be adding more of their lipsticks to my makeup collection in the near future!

Finally, I haven't got much use out of the bronzer, blush and highlight as I've been wearing less face makeup to give my skin a break. However, again, they are very pigmented and for the price the quality is incredible! If you're pale like me this bronzer is perfect for contouring and an all over bronze due to the different shades.

So if you haven't tried Makeup Revolution then you definitely should! I promise you won't regret it, I must admit I wasn't sure if people were exaggerating the quality but I must say for what you pay you get incredible quality and products that will sneak their way into your everyday makeup routine!

November Summary

Better late than never, right?! November and the beginning of December have been extremely busy! November was full of essay writing and stressing over organizing my dissertation. It wasn't the best of months, however, I feel like I've made a whole lot of progress! One thing, I've almost collected all the data for my dissertation which means I can start data analysis and the write up (woooo). If you're a third year uni student I'm sure you can relate to the stress that doing a dissertation brings, especially if you're collecting data yourself!

The highlight of my month was definitely my boyfriend's 21st! We went to an delicious steak house - we all ate way too much and his parents brought down an amazing personalized cake which looked and tasted incredible. If you're looking for a cake like it check out Mr Buns on Facebook (here). As I was completely stuck on what to get him for his birthday I made a "man bouquet" and he loved it! It may have taken a lot of creativity and looking at Pinterest but I must admit I
was quite proud of my creation! (I'm thinking of doing a post about how to create a man bouquet soon!)

Overall, although I spent a lot of November stressing I'm really looking forward to the festivities of December and seeing my family when I go home for Christmas! Now the deadlines have passed and the Uni term has nearly finished, that means only one thing, time to get organized and do my Christmas shopping eeeek!

What did you do in the month of November? Have you got any goals for December? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter @_bowsandbuttons!
